There is no acceptable abbreviation for SAN FRANCISCO!
The only acceptable reference to The City other than
SAN FRANCISCO is “The City”
unless you're one of us in which case it's “Home”!
There are places named F***** in Alabama, Colorado, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia. F***** Bridge spans the Mississippi at Memphis. There is no “F*****” in California.

San Francisco has one of the highest percentages of non-native-born residents in the country. Those of us who were actually born there are in the minority … they say that those born in San Francisco will be lucky the rest of our lives.
